Erik Meijer MEP, member of the European Parliament for the Dutch Socialist Party, inquired into the Council's rule-violations in connection to the adoption of the software patent directive proposal without a qualified majority on 7th March 2005. Meijer's party colleague Arda Gerkens was active on this dossier at the national level.
