Known Problems
- some links on FFII webpages are broken
Solution: a) collect broken links b) fix the pages
- many key webpage of FFII use inflammatory or inappropriate language due to multilingual character, undocumented access to static pages editing, organisational bottlenecks. We often get used to the aggressive tone of some pages, but this does not include visitors of our site.
- Some key pages were created in the heat of debate and contain lots of information that is of minor importance, instead of restructuring new pages are created and the old content is not updated anymore. FFII insider know that the specific pages are outdated.
- headlines are too long
- key pages are worded in a misleading way due to lack of capacity. Esp. new
- parts of FFII IT infrastructure are broken, esp. mailing lists/aktiv
- reports about unfixed bugs are not handled in a professional way

- expired websites are not commented as such
- css needs update ---> fixed in 2004/11 by arebenti, Mwas changed kwiki - css, improvements still possible but not urgent anymore.
- several pages are only available in German, or in mixed English and German

- wiki addendum pages, but changes were not made
- eu.ffii.org as a replacement

- http://swpat.ffii.org/ Get better text than the Haydn one that is quoted so often, fix Events link to a page that is outdated most of the time, same for journal, "reviews" links to a french text. No uptodate reviews overview page.
- "Jurisprudenz auf Schlitterkurs" --> Kritik: Anglismus, unübliches Fremdwort, Vorschläge a) Ersetze "jurisprudenz durch Rechtspraxis"; "Rechtsneusprechung"
- http://swpat.ffii.org/players/index.en.html Narrenschiff ---> neutraler Einleitungstext, aus polemisch beleidigenden Kontext lösen, broken link http://swpat.ffii.org/players/swpatgmelin/index.en.html on the same page
- http://swpat.ffii.org/players/dgmelin/index.de.html --> outdated
- http://swpat.ffii.org/players/schroeder/index.de.html --> outdated, strange wording "führungskadern" etc.
Todo
- set up a bug reporting tool such as mantis (http://mantisbt.org) or a ticket system
- create a QA project
- identify issues and create a classification/checklist
- improve documentation about our IT infrastructure

Further ideas for a managable swpat.FFII
- consider to migrate swpat.ffii.org content to mediawiki (http://mediawiki.org) with restricted user editing rights. It is used for wikipedia content and is more advanced than any other wiki system, esp. with options for qa and mulitlingualism. Mediawiki addendums also support pdf creation.

Vor einiger Zeit - aus ideeller Überzeugung bei der FFII.ORG angemeldet - hatte ich mich rasch wieder abgemeldet, da für mich die Flut der unstrukturierten Belanglosigkeits-Austauch-Emails dem eigentlichen Ernst der Sache eher schadet als nutzt.
Irgendwie hat nun wohl ein SYSOP bei FFII - vermute ich - seinen abgestürzten Linux- Rechner wieder neu aufgesetzt, dabei den Back-Up eines veralteten Email-Verteilers verwendet - und flugs muss ich wieder an der Verbreitung aller nicht zu Ende gedachter Geistesblitze teilnehmen.
Es braucht sich also niemand als vermuteter DAU oder wegen 'langer Haare' kleiner als nötig zu machen - die Administratoren bei FFII.ORG blamieren sich hier!
Professionell mit der Planung & Realisierung von Rechenzentren befasst, kann ich mir mit einem leistungsfähigen Email-Blacklist-Modul leicht helfen und jede Email im Postfach, die die Zeichenkette >ffii< enthält, automatisch löschen lassen..
Ich frage mich, wie die FFII.ORG irgendetwas ernst zu nehmendes erreichen will, wenn sie nicht mal ihre eigenen Hausaufgaben bewältigt - wie Frau Sielmann & Herr Spranz zu Recht beklagen.
Ich habe die damals über "de-parl" zirkulierten überbordenden Stellungnahmen an einzelne Abgeordnete bzw. Ministeriale wahrgenommen & könnte mir an Stelle der Empfänger gut vorstellen, wie wenig Bereitschaft ich hätte, mich mit "diesen EDV'lern" abzugeben.
